Visit Moonlit Sanctuary and Philip Island on a full day eco-tour from Melbourne. Visit the world famous Penguin Parade on Summerland beach!
Head out to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, just 50 minutes from Melbourne. This award-winning Park is home to more than 200 animals of some 30 species. Residents include kangaroos and koalas as well as owls, dingoes, various reptiles, wallabies and possums. Rare and endangered animals that have bred at the center include southern bettongs, eastern quolls, Julia Creek dunnarts and squirrel gliders.
Stop at stunning Cape Woolamai surf beach and visit The Nobbies, a magnificent headland with views to the far horizon. Close by are the Seal Rocks, which boast Australia’s largest fur seal colony.
Your last stop is at Summerland beach, home to Victoria’s largest colony of Little Penguins. Each night these endearing birds – the world’s smallest penguins – toddle ashore to the safety of their homes in the dunes after their daily fishing expedition. The sunset Penguin Parade is one of Australia’s most popular attractions.
