We wanted something to do that was not weather dependant. The bus seemed ideal as we would have a mobile shelter if we needed it - as it was the day was beautiful for the time of year. We decided to do the complete tour without stopping the first time to give us an overview of the city and then went round again stopping and looking at things that had caught our eye the first time round. I cannot praise the drivers enough, they pointed out good places to stop for lunch, warned us of times to make sure we got the last bus, advised us how to get from one stop to the next by foot etc. The commentary was interesting and clear without being too overwhelming - after all we were having a fun day out not studying for a history degree! In one day I felt we learnt a lot about Cambridge and we already have plans to return to see certain points of interest in more details. We only had a da but I think if someone was planning to spend a week or so in the area this tour enabled you o get your bearings and find out what it was you wanted to see more of. For us it was a wonderful, informative day out. We bought our tickets in advance which worked very well on the day.
Great way to see the city.
